Everton identify Lyon forward as top transfer target
Everton have reportedly earmarked Lyon forward Bertrand Traore as their top target to reinforce the squad during the summer transfer window.
The Toffees had a strong end to the previous campaign with positive results against the top six but they were not able to secure European football for next season.
According to L'Equipe, the Toffees are expected to bolster their forward ranks this summer and Traore has been identified as one of the leading candidates to pursue.
Traore parted ways with Chelsea to join Lyon on a permanent basis two years ago and during this period, he has impressed with 20 goals in the French top-flight while helping them return to the Champions League.
Despite this, he has often found himself starting from the substitutes' bench and reports indicate that Les Gones could be prepared to part ways with his services for around £17m this summer.
Traore made just 10 Premier League appearances for Chelsea and all of those came during the 2015/16 campaign. The Burkina Faso international contributed two goals in the process.
