Manchester United make renewed move for Portuguese star

Manchester United are said to have made an improved offer to secure the signature of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with a move for the 24-year-old this month and reports have previously indicated that they had made a £49m bid plus add-ons.
According to Journal de Notices, the Mancunian giants are desperate to get their hands on the attacker ahead of their European rivals and they have made an improved offer worth £58m excluding incentives.
Fernandes has excelled in the attacking midfield role over the past year and he ended the recent campaign with a sublime tally of 32 goals and 18 assists for Sporting in all competitions.
He has also been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, but United seem to hold the edge despite the fact that they have not qualified for next season's Champions League.
Manchester United have already confirmed that they have finalised an agreement to sign Daniel James from Swansea City and there could be many more arrivals as they seek to enhance their title prospects next term.
