Manchester United make transfer decision on Harry Maguire
Manchester United have permanently pulled out of the race to sign Harry Maguire after getting to know of the transfer demands from Leicester City.
The Englishman has been on the radar of the Red Devils over the past year but they seem to be far off from meeting the asking price for his services.
According to The Mirror, United have bowed out of the hunt for the England international after the Foxes demanded fees of around £100m for the defender including add-ons.
As such, Manchester City are now said to be the only side interested in the former Sheffield United graduate, though they are reluctant to pay more than £65m for the centre-back.
Maguire currently has more than four years remaining on his contract with the Foxes and that places the club in a strong position to turn down offers which don't meet their expectations.
The defender has previously spoken about the ambition of plying his trade for an elite European side but he is not expected to force through a departure during the ongoing transfer window.
