Arsenal, Lille and Borussia Dortmund chasing Dodi Lukebakio
European trio Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Arsenal are all in the race to sign right winger Dodi Lukebakio from Watford. The former Anderlecht youth player, who spent last season at newly promoted German side Fortuna Dusseldorf, has told the Vicarage Road outfit that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Watford signed Lukebakio in January 2018 as part of a 7 million euro deal, but after an impressive season on loan with Fortuna in the Bundesliga 2, numerous teams including Bundesliga rivals Dortmund have expressed interest in the 21-year-old attacking midfielder. Arsenal are looking for reinforcements in the attacking department and have deployed scouts to monitor Lukebakio's progress, meanwhile French side Lille have also contacted Lukebakio's agent regarding a potential transfer move after he bagged 8 goals in 22 Bundesliga 2 games.
The Belgium under-21 international, who has also appeared once for DR Congo, is said to be keen to move to France where he has already instructed his agent to discuss terms with last season's Ligue 1 second placed outfit Lille.
However, the interest of both Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal is sure to change Lukebakio's decision making process.
