Inter Milan growing confident of landing Manchester United star

Inter Milan are reportedly growing confident of landing Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have been in regular contact with the Red Devils for Lukaku but so far, their valuation has come around £12m short of the asking price for the Belgium international.

Despite this, the club have continued to hold negotiations for the player and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they remain confident of striking an agreement eventually.

It had previously been suggested that Lukaku could make the switch before the friendly between United and Inter, but it now appears that the deal could be delayed by a couple of weeks at the least.

Inter have made as many as eight signings for the transfer window and aside from Lukaku, they have been linked with a potential move to sign Edin Dzeko from AS Roma.

Similarly to Lukaku's case, the Nerazzurri have fallen £7.2m short of the £18m price tag and they will have to improve the proposed package to hold any chance of signing the Bosnian.
