De Gea agrees new contract with United

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has reportedly agreed terms on a six-year deal following a prolonged series of negotiations with the club.

De Gea's future has been the subject of speculation in the past few months amid concerns that he would leave the club on a free at the end of next season.

However, according to The Times, United have eventually found the breakthrough with De Gea over a six-year deal which would see him earn around £375,000 a week in wages.

De Gea had an inconsistent season for club and country during the previous campaign and he has recently witnessed Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga take up the number one role with the Spanish national side.

The 28-year-old recently earned his first minutes of pre-season as United beat Inter Milan by a 1-0 scoreline. Mason Greenwood bagged the only goal of the game in the 79th minute.
