Manchester United receive boost in signing Serie A midfielder

Lazio reduce Milinkovic-Savic asking price

Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with Lazio deciding to lowering their asking price for the midfielder.

The Red Devils have held a keen interest in the Serbian since the previous summer transfer window, but they have resisted against making an offer due to Lazio's £90m price tag.

However, according to Calciomercato, the Serie A team are now prepared to lower their valuation for the 24-year-old and they are prepared to listen to offers in the region of £70m.

United are on the hunt for a creative midfielder this summer and Bruno Fernandes from Sporting has been earmarked as the priority target for the transfer window.

Still, they have failed to reach an agreement in terms of the transfer fee for the Portuguese and it remains to be seen whether the club will switch their attention with the availability of Milinkovic-Savic.

Meanwhile, United are still uncertain over the future of midfielder Paul Pogba amid the interest from Real Madrid and there are reports suggesting that the club could pursue both Milikovic-Savic and Fernandes, should the Frenchman part ways with the side.
