Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivers worrying update on Eric Bailly's injury
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that defender Eric Bailly could be on the sidelines for some time after picking up a knee injury during the friendly win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The centre-back came on after the half-time break of the 2-1 friendly triumph over Spurs but he managed to last for only a few minutes before falling awkwardly in an attempt to block Heung-min Son's effort.
As such, he was taken off the field on a stretcher and Solskjaer has now said that things don't look great for the defender, he told: "(He) twisted his knee, we've got to do some scans and checks on him. It doesn't look great."
Bailly has suffered his fair share of injury concerns over the past few seasons and that has hampered his prospects of cementing a regular role at the heart of the backline.
The latest setback could prove another potential blow towards the same, considering the club are planning to recruit Leicester City's Harry Maguire, who will be expected to command a starting position.
