Arsenal confident of sealing the deal for 22-year-old defender
Arsenal are reportedly confident that they will seal the signature of defender Kieran Tierney from Celtic before the transfer deadline next month.
The north London side recently failed with a £25m bid for the left-sided defender and it had been suggested that the club could move on to pursue other targets.
However, that has not been the case and Sky Sports News claims that the Gunners are confident of striking an agreement with the Hoops with a third offer which seems imminent.
Tierney, who has made 170 appearances for the Scottish champions, is believed to be open to the chance of representing the Gunners and the personal terms are not expected to prove a stumbling block.
Aside from Tierney, the Gunners have been hot on the trail for a new winger and reports have emerged that they have agreed on a club-record £72m to land Nicolas Pepe from the ranks of Lille.
Pepe has been the subject of transfer interest from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Napoli, but the Gunners have managed to find the breakthrough after presenting better terms to the player and agent.
