Idrissa Gueye set for Paris St Germain transfer

Paris St Germain are to complete one of the major coups of the summer in signing Everton defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye for a reported 32 million euros. The former Lille and Aston Villa player had been pictured flying in to Paris at the weekend and rumours surfaced online that Gueye would be making a transfer to PSG.

The Senegalese international, who has 64 caps to his name, has been highly influential since arriving at Goodison Park from Villa in 2016 and is now set to complete a mega money move back to Ligue 1.

The 29-year-old is considered one of Everton's most consistent performers and the Toffees will be desperate to keep hold of the player, however there are concerns that the player is reaching his best and now is the right time to cash in on his talents.

PSG are waiting for numerous other transfer deals to complete before being able to make available funds from the sale of Neymar, from which the money will be repurposed to sign players such as Idrissa Gueye.
