Frank Lampard updates on Callum Hudson-Odois future

Lampard insists Chelsea are yet to agree new deal with Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has indicated that the club have yet to resolve the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi, although they are likely to find a resolution soon.

A recent report from Goal.com claimed that the Blues had reached an agreement over a new five-year deal with the teenager and the club would be making an announcement regarding the same.

However, Lampard has insisted that does not remain the case but the Blues are making progress towards committing the attacker to a new and improved deal with the side.

"I think agreed would mean signed so we're not quite there but what's very clear is the club are working towards that. Talks moved on very well in the last week or two but it's not done yet," he told the club's official website.

Hudson-Odoi, who is currently recovering from an Achilles surgery, made 23 appearances during his debut season with the Blues first-team last term, contributing five goals and five assists.

A recent report from The Sun has indicated that the 18-year-old wants the number 10 shirt as part of the contract renewal and there remains a good chance of the Blues accepting to the demand.
