24-year-old winger set for Arsenal medical in the next 72 hours
Lille winger Nicolas Pepe will reportedly undergo a series of medical tests in the forthcoming days before securing a club-record switch to Arsenal.
Both Napoli and Arsenal had agreed on a £72m package for the winger earlier last week, but the winger has reportedly decided to join the Gunners this summer.
According to Sky Sports News, an agreement between the necessary parties has been sorted and all that remains is for the 24-year-old to undergo the necessary fitness tests in the next 72 hours.
Pepe bagged 22 goals in the French top-flight last season and that tally was only bettered by Kylian Mbappe, who was part of Paris Saint-Germain's title-winning side.
Arsenal have already pursued three new players in Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba but the latter will return to Saint-Etienne on loan for the forthcoming campaign.
The Gunners have a couple of friendly games left against Angers and AC Milan and Pepe could be handed with some minutes in the latter of those matches in preparation for the league opener against Newcastle United.
