Pogba has regrets over United stay

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is understood to have regrets over not forcing a departure from Old Trafford this summer.

At the end of the previous season, Pogba acknowledged that he wanted to pursue a new challenge elsewhere after three years with the Red Devils.

He was thereafter linked with both Real Madrid and Juventus but ultimately, there was no concrete approach from either side before the English transfer deadline.

As a result, he is now expected to remain with the Mancunian giants until January at the least and AS suggests that the World Cup winner has regrets over the decision to stay put.

It is added that the midfielder feels he should have been more determined to leave the Red Devils with Los Blancos said to have held a keen interest in landing his signature.

Pogba has been ever-present for Manchester United this season but there are still doubts regarding his future after he recently admitted that there are question marks over his club situation.
