De Gea wants United exit next summer

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has no plans of penning a contract extension and he could leave the club on a Bosman at the end of the season.

The Spaniard has been with the club for the past eight seasons but his future remains uncertain at the moment with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign.

According to The Sun, the shot-stopper has given no indication that he would be prepared to extend his deal with the Red Devils despite the club willing to offer him a package of around £350,000-a-week.

The same outlet claims that the 28-year-old has doubts regarding the club's capacity to compete for major honours in the coming years and that has partly contributed to the contract standoff.

De Gea has been ever-present for the Red Devils since the start of the season. He has, however, kept just a single clean sheet from the four games played and that came during the curtain-raiser against Chelsea.
