Barcelona want to sign Chelsea winger on a free transfer
Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a Bosman move for Brazilian winger, whose contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the ongoing campaign.
The 31-year-old has just nine months remaining on his current deal with the Blues and his representatives are yet to open negotiations regarding a renewal.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana have held a keen interest in Willian since his time at Shakhtar Donetsk and they are growing confident of signing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The experienced winger has previously said that he is prepared to renew his contract with the Blues but talks are yet to progress with the west London side reluctant to meet his demands for a multi-year deal.
The Blues have generally been reluctant to offer more than a year's extension for players aged above 30 but they relaxed the policy for David Luiz earlier this summer before his shock move to Arsenal.
Willian has been with the Blues for the past six years and he has amassed 53 goals from nearly 300 appearances for the club across all competitions. He has started the club's past three league games.
