Chelsea to open contract talks with experienced attacker?
Chelsea are reportedly planning to open contract negotiations with Willian, whose existing deal with the club expires at the end of the ongoing campaign.
The Brazil international started the season as a regular off the bench but he has become an important figure over the past month with goals against Brighton & Hove Albion and Lille.
According to The Express, the west London giants are keen to prolong the attacker's stay beyond the summer of 2020 and they are prepared to discuss fresh terms in the near future.
Willian has previously indicated that he is content to renew his deal with the Blues but the club would still need to offer him with a multi-year contract to find the breakthrough.
The Brazilian has recently been linked with a potential Bosman move to either Juventus or Barcelona next summer and the latter remain long-term admirers of his services, having failed with an approach during the off-season.
