Tottenham Hotspur to sign Portuguese star in January?
Tottenham Hotspur will make a renewed attempt to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon when the transfer window reopens in less than three months' time.
The Portuguese was heavily linked with a move to the north London giants last summer but they could not finalise a deal with Sporting due to unacceptable add-ons involving winning the Premier League.
According to A Bola, Spurs are likely to come back with a renewed approach for the Portuguese and they may be willing to discuss a deal with achievable performance-based add-ons.
Fernandes was in splendid form for Sporting last term with 32 goals and 18 assists and he has continued to impress with seven goals and five assists from 10 games this season.
Spurs are expected to part ways with Christian Eriksen when he approaches the final six months of his contract in January and Fernandes may act as a direct replacement with his transfer partly funded by the Dane's exit.
