Kromkamp to Newcastle?

Former Liverpool defender Jan Kromkamp has been linked with a shock return to the Premiership with struggling side Newcastle. The Dutch defender is currently at PSV Eindhoven.

News of interest from the Premiership will appeal to Kromkamp who always stated he would jump at the opportunity of a return to the Premiership.

His first spell there was a failure at Liverpool, and now at PSV, Kromkamp has again started to show the abilities that made him one of the most highly rated young defenders in Europe whilst at AZ and Villarreal.

Kromkamp is valued by PSV Eindhoven at around the £3 million mark.
