Roma to sign Jack Rodwell

Italian giants Roma have agreed a deal with out of contract midfielder Jack Rodwell. The player will arrive in Italy this morning to discuss personal terms and is expected to sign a short term contract with the Serie A side.
Jack Rodwell had a spell with Blackburn Rovers last year, but decided against making an extended move and is now set for a surprise move to Italy. The Italian club are facing an injury crisis and are looking for reinforcements, with Rodwell suggested as a possible signing to add to their squad for a low fee. Rodwell, who has three caps for England's national team, is set for a medical before being presented to the press this evening. Rodwell will likely be elligble for this weekend's game for the Italian side.
The former Everton, Sunderland and Man City utility man has seen his form slump since leaving the Toffees for City and was part of the squad that saw Sunderland famously relegated from the Premier League down to League One.
