Manchester United make enquiry to sign Bayern Munich forward
Manchester United have reportedly made an initial approach to Bayern Munich to pursue the services of Thomas Muller at the turn of the year.
The Germany international has been reduced to just three league starts this term and he is said to be seriously considering his future with the Bundesliga holders.
According to The Mail, the Red Devils are expected to strengthen their forward ranks in the New Year after parting ways with both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez over the summer without replacements.
It is added that the club have made initial contact with the Bavarian giants and they could launch a formal bid for Muller when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Muller has spent his entire career with Bayern and he has contributed more than 100 goals in the Bundesliga alone since making his debut during the 2008/09 campaign.
Aside from Muller, United are also keen on signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus as they aim to add more experience and quality in the attack during the winter period.
