Solskjaer provides injury update on Pogba
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an injury update on midfielder Paul Pogba. The Frenchman has been absent since 30 September due to an injury he picked up during the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
Solskjaer provided the information in a press conference on Wednesday before the Europa League match with Serbian club Partizan Belgrade. In that occasion, Solskjaer confirmed that Pogba is closing in on a return to action.
According to Solskjaer, Pogba tells him he wants to return to the pitch as soon as possible and that the World Cup winner is working hard to return to full fitness.
However, Pogba is still expected to miss the Premier League clash against Sheffield United and the Europa League trip to Astana at the end of November.
Manchester United will host Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford on Thursday night. The Red Devils can guarantee a spot in the knockout stage of the Europa League this season with a win against Partizan Belgrade.
