Carra ready for 'big three'
Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is anxiously waiting for the Reds' triple header against Arsenal in the Champions League and Premiership starting on Wednesday evening, and believes this is the point that will 'make or break' their season.
âThereâs always a point at this time of year where you look at the fixtures and you see four or five games together which will basically decide how the season will go - itâs the same now,â he told The News of the World.
âWeâre used to coping with these demanding schedules. This is a make-or-break spell - we all realise that - but Iâm sure our pedigree in coping with these situations will stand us in good stead.
âIn recent years weâve always been there or thereabouts in the cup competitions. You can go as far as the 2001 season when every match was like a cup final.
âI also think back to 2005 and can see the similarities when things didnât go well in the league, but the only thing that sticks in anyoneâs mind is that we won The European Cup.
âIf we were to repeat that, nobody will be talking about anything else.â
