Manchester United, Arsenal want to sign Juventus defender
Manchester United and Arsenal could reportedly go head-to-head to land the services of Merih Demiral from Juventus at the turn of the year.
The centre-back only joined the Bianconeri on a permanent basis from Sassuolo last summer but he is said to be considering his future, having made just one appearance under Maurizio Sarri this term.
According to Calciomercato, both United and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Turkey international and they are likely to make bids when the transfer window reopens.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were indeed keen on signing the centre-back prior to the summer transfer deadline but their interest cooled after the purchase of Harry Maguire from Leicester City.
Still, they have had defensive concerns similarly to Arsenal and both sides are likely to look into the prospect of strengthening the central defensive department in the New Year.
Demiral may have made just one appearance at the club level but he has excelled at the international stage where he has formed an exceptional partnership with Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu.
