Barcelona submit offer for Dinamo Zagreb star
According to Marca, Barcelona have made a formal offer for Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo.
The 21-year-old had expressed his desire to leave the Croatian outfit amidst the transfer interest from Europe's top clubs which include the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Catalans have now stepped up their interest in bringing their former academy prospect back to Spain.
Olmo has been an integral part of Dinamo Zagreb since joining them in 2015. He was also influential behind their successful domestic reign and also have bagged numerous accolades.
The Spaniard also spoke about the Catalans’ interest on him, appreciating the club’s interest to bring him to Camp Nou.
He said,
“It makes me happy that Barcelona have made an offer for me.”
I spent six years in the Masia and they taught me life-long values, so I am happy that the reported interested has turned into a concrete proposal from the club.
Olmo also insisted that playing in European Championship with the Spain national team would be his main objective.
“My goal is to go to the European Championships this summer but it will be difficult for me if in the next six months I only play in a minor competition, such as in Croatia."
The former La Masia graduate endured a great run in the Euro U-21’s earlier this year, scoring in the final, which helped the Spanish team to lift the title.
