Inter Milan ready to swoop for Chelsea defender
Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to pay around £25m to secure the services of Emerson from Chelsea during the January transfer window.
Emerson has shared the left-back duties alongside Marcos Alonso this term but of late, he has been criticised for his performances on the field.
This has resulted in Cesar Azpilicueta slotting into the role but reports claim that the Blues are likely to move for another player for the position.
According to The Express, the Blues are open to sanctioning the departure of Emerson amid the interest from both Juventus and Inter Milan in the Serie A.
The latter of those club are leading the hunt to sign the former AS Roma man and they are prepared to offer a package of £25m for his services this month.
Should the move go through, Emerson would be reunited with former Blues boss Antonio Conte, who initially brought him to Stamford Bridge when he was in charge in January 2018.
