Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms double fitness concern ahead of Wolves clash
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he is unsure regarding the fitness of two first-team stars ahead of the FA Cup third round replay against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Red Devils picked up their first win of the year with the 4-0 thumping of Norwich City at Old Trafford, and the match saw Marcus Rashford make his 200th appearance for the side and score a brace.
However, he was substituted at the hour mark of that game with a minor knock and Solskjaer has now suggested that he will make a late decision on the forward's involvement against Wolves on Wednesday.
“I don’t know. If he’s ready, and if I decide to play him, you’ll see. He’s played many games and I might have to look at it and see how we can manage him. But, we’ve got a week off very soon – in February,” he told MUTV.
Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has been absent for the past two games with an illness but Solskjaer remains hopeful that the left-back will return in time for the Cup clash.
"He didn’t feel right. He’s been ill. So, for me, fine; go home. Hopefully, he’ll be ready for Wednesday,” he continued when asked about Shaw's recovery period.
