Willian clear on his Chelsea future
Brazil international Willian is reportedly keen on extending his contract with Chelsea rather than pursuing a fresh challenge with Barcelona in the summer.
A recent report from ESPN revealed that the Blaugrana had made an attempt to sign him in January and they would be favourites to land his services in the summer when his contract expires with the Blues.
However, the same publication has now claimed that the attacker prioritises a new contract with the Blues and he is hopeful that the club will meet his demands before the end of the season.
Willian, who has spent nearly seven years with the Blues, has been a regular choice under manager Frank Lampard, who has personally stated that he would prefer the long-term stay of the Brazilian.
So far, the west London giants have not bowed to the Brazilian's demands for a multi-year deal with a significant payrise but it remains to be seen whether their stance changes by the end of the campaign.
