Diop dreams of FA Cup glory

Portsmouth midfielder Papa Boupa Diop is already dreaming of helping the Fratton Park outfit lift the FA Cup this season. Pompey are preparing for their crucial FA Cup semi for the weekend.

“I know there were many others back home who did not have this kind of chance," he told the Daily Express. "Now a lot of people know me in Europe because of my football. That makes me and my family happy.

"So it would be the dream to go back to Senegal one day and help the kids, and it would be the ultimate dream if I could do it with an FA Cup winners' medal to show them.

"Whenever I go back home many people talk to me about playing because they watch the games on television. That is nice for me. I want to give children the chance I had, because everyone wants the best for their children.

“Hopefully I can help some of them to fulfil the dream."
