Scott McTominay provides fresh update on his knee injury
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has stated that he is going through rehabilitation for his knee ligament injury and is hopeful of making a comeback at the earliest possibility.
The Scotland international picked up the problem during the Boxing Day clash against Newcastle United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has since confirmed that he could be out of action for two months.
As a result, the midfielder is unlikely to make his comeback until March at the least and speaking to Sky Sports, McTominay has provided an update on his present situation.
"I am feeling good, hopefully do my best to be back on the pitch as soon as I possibly can. Obviously the gym work is tough, the running outside is tough. You just have to do your best and obviously make sure your injury is right," he told.
McTominay won't be travelling with his fellow United teammates for the warm weather training camp in Marbella, given he has yet to begin with individual training.
Winter signing Odion Ighalo, however, will be involved in the group and the Nigeria international will be aiming to improve his fitness ahead of the Premier League clash at Chelsea on February 17.
