Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing a move for Ajax right-back Sergino Dest, according to the Dutch outlet De Telegraaf.

The report also briefs that Bayern have had a bid worth €20m rejected by the Amsterdam outfit in the winter exchange for the teenager.

However, the Bavarians remain persistent in their attempt to sign the American prodigy in the summer. It is also said that a deal could be reached between both the parties for around €26m.

The 19-year-old has taken the Eredivisie by storm this season, putting up some eye-catching displays. He has already bagged two goals and six assists to his name this season in all competitions for Ajax.

A product of Jong Ajax, Dest got promoted to the main team last summer. He has also earned three caps for the USA senior team thus far, making his debut last year.

Bayern signed Spanish full-back Alvaro Odriozola from Real Madrid on a loan deal last month to provide cover for the primary right-back Benjamin Pavard.
