United have been linked with the Italian midfielder for somewhile but Calciomercato claims that the Bianconeri are in the front seat to land his services in the summer.

The same outlet claims that the Bianconeri are planning advanced talks with Brescia ahead of the summer transfer window and they are lining up an offer worth £42m to seal the deal for the 19-year-old.

Tonali, whose style of play has been likened to Italian legend Andrea Pirlo, has around 16 months remaining on his current Brescia deal. The club, however, have the option of extending his stay for another 12 months.
