Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides midfield injury boost for Watford clash
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Scott McTominay could be in contention for the forthcoming clash against Watford in the Premier League.
The Scotland international has been out of action since the Boxing Day clash with a knee ligament injury but he has recently returned to full training session alongside his teammates.
McTominay was unavailable for the recent European trip to Bruges but Solskjaer has suggested that the midfielder could return for the Hornets clash on Sunday afternoon.
"I think he might be in the squad. Scott had a rest day today, so let’s see how he is tomorrow," he was quoted as saying by United's official website after the 1-1 draw versus Club Brugge on Thursday.
United are currently three points behind the top four while they are two behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who are holding onto the final Champions League spot.
Solskjaer's side could possibly jump into the Champions League places this weekend with Chelsea, who are fourth on the table, scheduled to take on Spurs at Stamford Bridge.
