Aubameyang happy at Arsenal

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that he is happy at the north London side amid the speculation regarding his future.

The Gabon international has netted 20 times in the current campaign and 17 of those strikes have come in the Premier League.

There have recently been doubts regarding his future with his contract expiring in 15 months' time but Aubameyang has insisted that he loves playing for the north London club.

"I try to always be ready, whatever happens. I am a guy who tries to be always ready. I love the fans here and when I was younger I used to watch Arsenal because they had always great players," he told Premier League.com.

Aubameyang was the subject of interest from Spanish giants Barcelona during the winter transfer window but the Gunners declined to listen to any offers for his services.

The forward has himself indicated that he is committed to the Capital outfit and it remains to be seen whether he pens a new contract by the summer such that the club are not compelled to sanction his sale.
