Juventus make transfer decision on NGolo Kante

Juventus won't move for Kante

Juventus have reportedly opted against making a summer move for N'Golo Kante after learning the asking price of the Chelsea midfielder.

The Blues are said to be open to parting way with the Frenchman this summer, particularly with his injury concerns over the past 12 months.

According to Calciomercato, the Bianconeri have been one of the admirers of the World Cup winner but they won't compete for his signature during the summer.

Maurizio Sarri is keen on signing a new defensive midfielder but a reunion with Kante appears unlikely with the £80m asking price said to be beyond their reach.

The Blues are reluctant to reduce the price tag for Kante, who has more than three years remaining on his contract. He could still leave the club this summer with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain said to hold an interest.

Kante has made only 16 starts during the current league campaign. He was struggling with an adductor injury before the league's suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.
