Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur to compete for Chelsea star?
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to go head-to-head in the race to sign Chelsea winger Willian on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Willian's current contract with the Blues expires at the end of June but he has already stated that he would be willing to sign an extension for the rest of the campaign.
According to The Telegraph, the north London duo are keeping a close watch on the attacker's situation and they are likely to make contract offers through the player's representative.
Both clubs have been hampered financially by the coronavirus pandemic and reports claim that they could prioritise swap deals and free transfers in the coming months.
Willian has remained a key player under the guidance of Frank Lampard and the manager has personally stated that he would prefer the Brazilian to stay put at the club.
Still, he appears likely to head through the exit door, given the hierarchy have refused to meet his demands for a three-year contract. Willian has bagged seven goals and six assists for the Blues this term.
