Oleksandr Zinchenko wanted by Bayern Munich
Arsenal will let Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, and it is understood that the left-back is a target for German club Bayern Munich. More recently, Zinchenko has lost his first-team place for the Gunners and with Jurrien Timber likely to fill the left side role in defence next season, Oleksandr Zinchenko will seek a new club.
Zinchenko has often been praised for his versatility but at Arsenal has primarily played as a full-back. Often playing as an inverted left defender, the Ukrainian has impressed since his move to Man City. However, it is understood that Mikel Arteta will not stand in the player's way if a transfer offer is received.
Arsenal paid around £30 million to Manchester City for the player affectionately known as Zin Diesel, as will be willing to part company with the 27-year-old for a fee of around £25 million.
With 2 years remaining on his deal, Zinchenko could be persuaded to transfer to Bayern Munich, who missed out on the Bundesliga title to rivals Bayer Leverkusen this season and are subsequently planning a busy summer of transfer acquisitions.
