Tottenham Hotspur planning loan proposal for Barcelona star
Tottenham Hotspur are likely to make a loan proposal for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho this summer.
Coutinho is presently on a season-long loan at Bayern Munich but he is expected to return to the Camp Nou at the end of the season after the German club allowed the buy option to expire.
According to Football Insider, the Brazil international is attracting plenty of Premier League interest with Arsenal, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Everton said to be monitoring his situation.
Jose Mourinho's side are also in the running to sign the former Liverpool man and it is claimed that they could make the attempt to land the playmaker on a temporary basis.
Still, the deal is dependent on many factors. Spurs will be hoping none of the other interested clubs are willing to sign the Brazilian on a permanent deal this summer.
On the other hand, they are unlikely to meet Coutinho's £250,000-a-week wages in full and will want the Blaugrana to pay up part of the salary package during the duration of the loan deal.
