Arsenal leading the race to sign Napoli striker?
Arsenal are reported to be leading the race to sign Arek Milik from Napoli when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
Milik is currently contracted to Napoli until the end of next season and he has shown a reluctance to extend his contract due to the lack of progress at the club.
This has apparently caught the eye of Juventus but Napoli are determined to avoid selling the Poland international to a direct league rival in the next transfer window.
According to La Repubblica, the Serie A outfit are prepared to lower their £45m asking price for the marksman such that they can invite interest from overseas clubs.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the Pole but the Gunners are bettered placed, given they could garner the funds for Milik's purchase from the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang's deal with the north London side expires in 13 months' time but it appears likely that he will head through the exit door this summer unless he agrees a contract extension in the coming months.
