Dean Henderson on Chelsea radar?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a surprise move for Manchester United's Dean Henderson as they aim to recruit a new goalkeeper ahead of next season.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the club's first-choice shot-stopper over the past two years, but there are suggestions that the hierarchy are not entirely convinced with the Spaniard's displays.

Hence, they are looking into a suitable replacement for next term and The Sun claims that the club could make a bid worth £50m to land the signature of Henderson from the Red Devils.

Henderson is currently in his second season on loan at Sheffield United and he has grabbed the attention, having kept 11 clean sheets from 29 Premier League appearances.

He has been fancied to replace David de Gea in goal for the Red Devils, but that appears unlikely to happen next season, considering the Spaniard only signed a long-term deal earlier this year.

As a result, he could be loaned out again for the 2020/21 campaign. It will be interesting to see how the Red Devils react, suppose they receive a significant bid from the Blues for the goalkeeper.

Chelsea will first need to sanction the departure of Arrizabalaga before considering a move for Henderson. Valencia and former club Athletic Bilbao have been linked with the Spaniard.
