Chelsea to sign Manchester United youngster?
Chelsea are reportedly one of the clubs interested in signing Angel Gomes on a free transfer when his Manchester United contract expires on June 30.
The 19-year-old has declined to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Red Devils and earlier on Monday, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that the forward is set to leave the club in the coming days.
Frank Lampard's side have been keeping a close watch on Gomes' situation for a number of months and The Independent claims that the club are attempt to strike a deal through the player's agent Pini Zahavi.
Still, they may not be able to offer the versatile forward regular first-team football next term and that could prove a major stumbling block in convincing him to join the club.
Aside from the Blues, a number of Italian and Spanish clubs are also said to be keeping tabs on Gomes. Barcelona have also been credited with a regular interest in the player, but they are likewise not in a position to guarantee gametime.
