Keane eyes the future
Sunderland boss Roy Keane is looking forward to the 'next step' for the Black Cats after seemingly securing safety in the Premiership for next season. Keane believed that promotion from the Championship was the easy part; survival in the Premiership the toughest.
âYou look at our crowd against West Ham the other week â 45,000 for a team struggling near the bottom. Can you imagine if we can get higher up the table?â Keane said.
âI do believe if we can stabilise this year and stay in the Premier League, we can challenge the teams just ahead of us, the West Hams and the Blackburns.
âThatâs where we want to be over the next year or two.â
