Manchester United among contenders to sign Real Madrid star
Manchester United are reportedly regarded as one of the contenders to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.
Rodriguez has endured a difficult season where he has made only five league starts after falling out-of-favour under manager Zinedine Zidane.
He is expected to leave Los Blancos with his contract expiring at the end of next season and Sport claims that the Red Devils could be a realistic destination.
Everton have been heavily linked with a move for Rodriguez in recent months, but it is reported that he would snub them to join either United or Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The former Porto man was previously valued in excess of £40m, but Los Blancos are now expected to demand only 50 percent of that value with under 12 months remaining on his contract.
Rodriguez has made just one start for Los Blancos since the restart. He has recently requested to be excluded from the matchday squads and Zidane has admitted that he may never play again for the club.
