Frank Lampard provides fitness update on N'Golo Kante
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided a fitness update on N'Golo Kante ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Frenchman has endured a frustrating season with numerous injuries and he has already missed 20 matches for the Blues across all competitions.
Kante has been absent since the Premier League win over Watford, but Lampard has said that he could make a comeback against Wolves.
The 29-year-old has returned to training after nearly three weeks and Lampard is set to make a decision based on the advice from the medical staff.
"There is a possibility he will feature. He has trained for the first time towards a match pace this morning, so it’s a decision I’ll have to make, talking with him and the medical team, to see if he’s ready to start," He told Chelseafc.com
The Blues need at least one point from their final game of the Premier League season against Wolves in order to cement their Champions League berth for next term.
Otherwise, they will be dependent on Manchester United beating Leicester City on the road. A draw between the pair could see the Blues drop to the fifth position.
