Romero to hold talks with Solskjaer over United future

Sergio Romero is reportedly prepared to hold showdown talks with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regarding his Manchester United future.

The Argentine has been the understudy to David de Gea since his arrival in 2015 and has been restricted to only 59 appearances in all competitions.

In recent years, De Gea has been responsible for a number of errors leading to goals, but Romero has still been unable to get the nod over the Spaniard.

Dean Henderson could return to the United squad next term after another impressive loan spell at Sheffield United and that could see Romero drop further down the pecking order.

According to The Sun, the former Sampdoria man is set to hold talks with Solskjaer and could head for the exit door, suppose the Norwegian makes it clear that he has no future at the club.

Leeds United and Everton have both been credited with an interest in Romero's signature. The former could be the front-runners to sign him as they could guarantee a starting spot in the Premier League.
