Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has reiterated the club won't reconsider the asking price for Kai Havertz amid the interest from Chelsea.

The German is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League this summer and reports claim that he has already agreed personal terms with the Blues.

However, the club have not made any progress in the transfer talks with Leverkusen, who are reluctant to accept anything less than £90m for their player.

In an interview with Sportbuzzer, Voller said that there is no corona discount on exceptional young players such as Havertz and Jadon Sancho, he told:

"In times of corona, it may actually be that the transfer fees have decreased for many players. But corona or no corona, this is not the case with exceptional players like Havertz or Jadon Sancho. There is no corona discount for them."

Havertz had a fantastic 2019/2020 season with Leverkusen where he registered 18 goals and nine assists from 45 games across all competitions.

The 21-year-old was previously linked with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, but both clubs have been put off by the asking price set by Leverkusen.
