Arsenal remain in talks to sign Spanish midfielder
Arsenal are reportedly continuing their negotiations with Real Madrid as they aim to re-sign Dani Ceballos on loan for the second season running.
The Spaniard made 37 appearances for the Gunners during the previous campaign and he was hugely impressive in the backend of the season under Mikel Arteta.
Ceballos formed a solid partnership with Granit Xhaka in the centre of the park and he was almost ever-present in the starting lineup as he was preferred ahead of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
According to Sky Sports News, the north London side are keen on retaining his services on loan for another season and talks are underway with Los Blancos regarding the same.
Ceballos is set to feature for Los Blancos in pre-season training, but the Gunners are optimistic of re-signing the midfielder on another temporary stint. The Spaniard is likewise open to the move.
Arsenal could be making a number of changes in the midfield this summer with Torreira tipped to return to the Serie A while the out of favour Guendouzi is also expected to be sold.
