Man United want Upamecano?

Manchester United could switch their attention to Dayot Upamecano following the purchase of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The Red Devils have already reached an agreement to sign Van de Beek from Ajax and the deal will be announced in the next 24 hours.

According to ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may now focus on the purchase of a new centre-back and he is keen on landing Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a Premier League move over the past year, but the speculation has cooled with him signing a three-year deal.

Upamecano's release clause of £40m does not become active until next summer, but the Red Devils are still planning to make an offer on the table for the 21-year-old.

The Mancunian giants have also been linked with the services of Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco and reports have claimed that they have failed with an opening bid worth £22m for his services.
