Arsenal could face Thomas Partey competition
Arsenal could face competition from Inter Milan in the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
Partey has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners have yet to trigger the £45m release clause on his contract.
Atleti are reluctant to accept anything less for his services and the Gunners will need to recoup funds from player sales in order to afford him.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are keeping a close eye on the midfielder's situation and could make an approach for his signature.
Antonio Conte is keen on adding an energetic midfielder this summer and Chelsea's N'Golo is currently the top transfer target on his radar.
Should the Blues decline to sell, the Italian has identified Partey as a alternative option alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Tanguy Ndombele.
In recent months, Partey has refused to sign an improved deal with Atleti.
It was previously reported that he wants to play for the Gunners in the Premier League.
