Telles agrees personal terms with United

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Porto defender Alex Telles ahead of a potential transfer.

The Brazilian has been identified as the preferred left-back target for the Red Devils and the club are currently in negotiations over the price tag.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old has already reached an agreement over the contract package with United and it is left for the clubs to finalise the fee.

Porto are currently reluctant to accept anything less than his £36.7m release clause, but United are hopeful of bringing down the price to £23m, considering his contract expires in less than 10 months' time.

Telles enjoyed a superb 2019/2020 campaign with Porto as he bagged 13 goals and 12 assists across all competitions. He would definitely provide an upgrade in the left-back spot with his attacking threat.

Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams are currently the regular picks for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the position, but the latter is a right-back by trade and has lacked the consistency.
