Leeds United have reportedly made a late £25m offer for the services of Manchester United forward Daniel James.

The Wales international was on the cusp of signing for the Whites from Swansea City in January 2019, but the Swans pulled the plug on the deal at the 11th hour.

James thereafter made the move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2019 and he has since made 46 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions.

According to Football Insider, Marcelo Bielsa's side have revived their interest in the wide player and they have made a formal £25m bid to land his signature before Monday's transfer deadline.

James started the previous campaign as a regular in the starting lineup, but since the turn of the year, he has been in-and-out of the team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United are actively on the hunt for a new winger before the deadline and that could pave the way for James' departure. James has managed only 45 minutes of league action during the first three games of the season.
